Mangesh is a natural leader who builds conceptual models that serve as plan for strategic action. Intuition orients his thinking to the future and gives it an abstract quality. He enters complex situations with objective curiosity and leads with intriguing possibilities. He stays grounded in the OD Consultant’s role as catalyst for change. Mangesh’ behavioral orientations suggest that he is equally comfortable in the roles of Clarifier, Director & Encourager. He remains friendly, warm and diplomatic in group situations.
Mangesh is an engineer by education. After passing out from VJTI he joined Siemens Ltd Kalwe works in 1984. He worked in Manufacturing and Planning for 5 years before moving into Personnel function. He worked in Personnel Planning and Communications till 1990. In 1990 he took over as Head of Personnel for Northern Region, Siemens Ltd. In 1991, Mangesh was deputed to Siemens A.G. to participate in Management Development Program in Germany & UK. In 1992, Mangesh returned to Mumbai to head HR for a new JV - Siemens Information Systems. In 1995, he moved to Bangalore to join Texas Instruments as Director, Human Resources. 1998, he represented TI and won the National Award for Innovative HRD practices. At TI, he provided leadership to HR, MARCOM, Facilities, Security and Admin. In 2000, he completed Global Program in Management Development conducted by Michigan Business School & ACME. Early 2001, Mangesh joined Cisco as Head HR to support all businesses namely R&D, Global Partner Engg, IT, Sales, CA in India and SAARC. In July 2003, Mangesh quit Cisco to fulfill his life-long dream of setting-up an OD Consultancy Firm (Alchemy) and OBL Institute (Pegasus), near Mumbai.
Mangesh lives in Pune with his family and travels widely. His hobbies include photography and cooking. Mangesh is a member of ISABS ODCP study group.
