| The symbol of this
certification programme the ‘Moibius strip’ represents
the nature of future Organisations and future learning
loops that develops talents for the design and
management of future strategies. Organisations of future
will be complex adaptive systems and self organizing to
survive beyond time lines and definitive leadership
styles. The continuum of life cycles of Organisations
will resemble the moibius strip. Where like the Möbius
resistor in electronics has the property of cancelling
its own inductive reactance or in organisational
parlance the internal resistances.

| The strip also represents a strange
loop’ which is a hierarchy of levels, each of which may
consist of objects, processes, or virtually anything
else. Each level is linked to at least one other by some
type of relationship. A strange loop hierarchy, however,
is "tangled" (what Hofstadter refers to as a
"heterarchy"), in that there is no well defined highest
or lowest level. The levels are organized such that
moving through them eventually returns one to one's
starting point. The information flow network between DNA
and enzymes through protein synthesis and DNA
replication, and self-referential formal systems
resemble the design of moibius strip. |

| Another characteristic of future
Organisations will be ‘Autopoiesis’ literally means
"auto (self)-creation" (from the Greek: auto - αυτό for
self- and poiesis for creation or production) and
expresses a fundamental dialectic between structure and
function. The term also resembles the dynamics of a
non-equilibrium system; that is, organized states
(sometimes also called dissipative structures) that
remain stable for long periods of time despite matter
and energy continually flowing through them. From a very
general point of view, the notion of autopoiesis is
often associated with that of self-organization.
However, an autopoietic system is autonomous in the
sense that every process within it directly helps
maintaining the whole. |
